Loping Reins
A loping rein is a loop rein that is joined at the base with a turks head. These are used with a bosal or loping hackamore where no " getdown" is required or desired.
Attachment is by setting the turks head into the gap between the bars in front of the heel knot. Then take a half hitch with the right side rope and place that over the top of the bosal. Reach through and pull the reins through and then tighten down the half hitch. Before you do tighten you need to check that there is not a twist in the rope. I make them so that the twist is taken out.
