This is a Californian loping hackamore made in the style that Len Yule used to make. Len used to order mecates from me, like the one pictured here, to sell with his pencil bosalitos.
Made from brown girth leather and 3/8", 8 plait leather covered rawhide string bosalito. Fiador throat latch in white rope.
Nose band is made with 8 plait leather braided over a rawhide string. Mecate is 3/8" barber pole pattern.
